Check this file dudes. Tayshaun Prince (Pistons) has one contract year worth 92 millon. Looks like the "2" after the "9" was an accident.

hmm thats strange considering I didn't even open the player rating database...

That error would be in the original database. Anyway, i've fixed it. Will upload in a second.

Tim, how do I edit Tayshaun Prince's contract. I downloaded 1.02 and its still showing as 90 some million. Sorta over the cap. Please advise

The contract amount is in the default.dat file, you need to edit that to change it. The contract for each year is listed, and you can change those values.

How do I edit this file? When I try to open it asks for a program to use. I have no clue on how to do this. If I continue with my association how bad will I be penalized for such a large amount, or is there a patch coming out soon to correct this? Thanks for your support

Open it wirh Microsoft Access.
When you double click on file, it asks you with which programm to open it.Go to select from the list and choose MS access.
If you dont have MS access, you can try and google the words free MDB editor.Im sure youll come up with soimething.

LMamone, Thanks for the advice, I edited the contract, withMS Acess, saved it but when I open the game it still shows as 90 Million. I am using antigravitys file, but I downloaded patch 1.02, so that should not matter. if anyone can help, I would appreciate it, as I'm sorta stuck with the cap inbalance. Thanks

Load your save file, log in as commish, click on export league to database, edit his contract, save changes, and click import league from database.
Not sure will it work that way, though, good luck.

Well, it corrected Prince's salary, but the total still shows as 90 million. Now I'm stuck, can't play the season as I'm so far in debt, and now I can't sign free agents as I'm so far over the cap. Any ideas would be appreciatred, had a few hours for some DDS, now heading for work. Thanks

There's two places to change the contract: the individual years and the total value. Perhaps you changed only one of them?

Actually you are right, you need only change the years on this. I was wrong there, my apologies for that.

Bryan, I am at work, but the high total shows on his player card when I go to contracts, and also it shows me quite a bit over on my cap in the team info page. Will check this later, but the owner will certinally fire me for this high total, cannot seem to figure out how to adjust this. TPG sure was easier for me to figure out. Thanks

Any league started with 1.02 or later will show the correct salary, so I would recommend going that route and starting a new league.

Bryan, I will take your advice and start over. Usually, I start many leagues, due to not wanting to read help files. Finding out the hard way, at least I usually learn what not to do. Thanks for all you support, will grab the latest patch, than start again.

I have download this file and replaced the one that came with the game but the changes never show up when I start a new game meaning Miami Burn is still their not Miami Heat why is that?

Most likely you were using a different setup than the one changed in the file.

Having looked at this file, it changes the 30-team setup, not the 32-team setup. If it were updated to change the 32-team setup also then you would be able to use that one.

Also if you try a NBA League with like 16 or 30 teams it just blackins out League Names and still gives the Default Team Names and not the Real Ones.
