Changing default portrait?

If I find a coach or a player who has a default portrait and I want to at least give him an artwork portrait from Gary's library... how do I do this for a pre-existing coach? I'm talking about working through DDSPB itself.

Try renaming one of the faces in fac folder to coach/player name you want to assign the portrait for, ie instead of number rename it to firstname_lastname.

Wow, that'd be fairly time-consuming, considering how many coaches and players wind up with a default portrait in the game....

Anyone have a more graceful solution? Any way to do this WITHIN, say, the commissioner mode of the game?

Well, from your post i though you are looking to change portraits of only few ppl.
But anyway, why dont you download nonplayers pack, it is posted around here somewhere?

I have that pack, but a lot of coaches and players still have the default. (More common in the NBDL than the NBA, but...)

Yeah, its hard to find a pics for 3rd assistants and NBDL coaches.
I think renaming files would be the only way of doing it.

All the tedious part of working with MS Access and/or renaming files is taking a lot of time from actually playing the game. Makes me wish the game has an in-game editor like TEW 2007 or Bowl Bound. :(
