It works for 12 to 30 teams...
Just use it and fill free to give me any feed back on players...

La Tulipe. Thank You for the roster, however when I try to load the draft files, I get a runtime error 3024. Anybody have a clue as to what folder I should be using? I put in in saves, 76, I followed what I did for the 2006 and 96 rosters. I must just be missing something. Thanks, now for some gaming time

Well,
just put the draft file in your save directory and don't forget to rename it as draftfile.rkf (you have to rename one each year) and it will work (it always work with me)

Just a new version of the 3 first draft files with some more players :1977, 1978 and 1979

No it is not currently possible to upload files of that size, you would need to find a hosting site for larger ones. You may want to check out what some of the other modmakers have used for theirs, and see if they'd be willing to host it or if you can use a similar avenue.

hey, i used your draft file with the 1978 draft file. the draft goes off perfectly OK but when it gets to the last three picks of the draft, it stops and no picks are taken! i dont know what to do and it has happened multiple times.

Well, I know the problem.
some time the computer does not fine any player he ned in the draft and the draft stop. It's like a bug. If you don't have any save file before, just propose a trade of this draft turn to the computer against one of your worth player or a 2nd draft turn.

I have to put more medium player in the draft file to be sure the problem disaepear.

- Concerning bugs : I send a mail with my "corrupt file" 1 month ago, I don't open any subject in the technical thread. As I remember my probklem was about an inter season after 2 years, one team (not mine) was not able to align a roster for the summer league and the game stop...

I just noticed while playing in the 22-team league, the New York Knicks play way too many game, they played 2 in one day. And the Nets play no games whatsoever during the season.

The "best" is 30 teams. It was create for and for running from 1976 to now.
For the moment I never go further than 1982...

Just an information :
I found a bug in my drafts files.
I invert 2 columns : FT_POT and FG3_POT, so with years players became worth in free frow.

Anyone else getting this when tyrying to start a new league with this file?

The first thing I'd check is to make sure you are using the appropriate league size -- you can also use the Modding Kit to trouble-shoot the roster.

I tried a couple of league sizes including 30 which Le Tulipe recommended. I used the Modding Kit menu item "check for errors" with no results. I also loaded a 95-96 roster set from the forum and it worked OK.

What EXACT settings are you using when starting up the league? There must be some difference there as a lot of people are not seeing this error you refer to. Also, do you have your language settings at US English?

Thanks. From what I can see there is a problem(at least with the version of the file I have) that the D-League teams and some of the pro teams have the same ID(D-League teams are supposed to have higher numbers, 33-44). I think this is the most likely cause of the error.

There were 22 teams in the NBA in 1976 according to Wikipedia, but keep in mind that if you're going to play a historical dynasty that you can not expand in this version of DDS:PB.

I'd also suggest changing the salary cap to better reflect 1976 economics, but I don't have a number off the top of my head for that.
