Hi, guys. I made the plunge today and bought the game. Of course, before deleting 1.87, I imported my music, parks, pics & logos into the new game.

My biggest challenge will be in deciding where to start. My old PSA files are history, so, which season to pick for a new career?

How about using a random number generator to pick a number from 1-100, with that number determining your starting year. For example, 100 would mean either a 1900 or 2000 start, where 76 would mean a 1976 start.

Mates ... It is awesome to see the inputs from the Loyalists as well as the growing newbies in this forum ... I am encourage to see this since I ventured over to the ghost town of the PureSim baseball and ... well like I said it's a ghost town ... I have been fortunate to be playing this game since the 2005 Gold Version 1.21 Released ... and the game has gone through many groundbreaking changes since ... Anyway, I've downloaded the demo last nite ... I've decided, at the moment, to keep 1.87 beta version ... I am not quite convince to jump the bandwagon as of yet ... not much changes to warrant me at this moment unless mates such as KG, Wraithchild, DonBraswell, motnahp PadresFan and others (especially cardinal fans like Orcin) can convince me that they are more satisfied with PS2 than 1.87 beta version ... fire away guys ....

Hmmm ... not much input to convince me to jump onto PS2 for the moment ...

Jabez, it's all about the updates for me. I was impressed with the energy that Shaun has put into the game over the past several months. I can see promise that the game will continue to improve. I hope to influence some of those changes toward a better AI, and I'd love to help test them. I've got to be a licensed user to stay on board.

Jabez, As a fellow Red Sox fan and indeed a Puresim fan since it first appeared in the world way back before 2005, but only an infrequent forum poster, my intitial reaction was like yours to hold back and wait and see what developed. Not because of not wanting to pay money again, but being unemployed for most of this year for the first time in my life, money is more precious than usual. However my feeling is similar to Orcins that in order to be part of the contributing community and getting Shauns regular updates (theres already two more releases) I need to be a registered owner. Having come this far with the game I dont want to be excluded now from what goes forward - and the 2009 rosters are part of those updates by the way. I would have hoped that Wolverine would have given a "loyalty discount" to past licenced owners for the upgrade but that seems to not be their policy. So as a result of the options I registered version 2 yesterday. Feel free to hold off if you like - but eventually you will almost certainly want to register and then be on exactly the same version as those who have already registered :-)

Yep.. as much time as Shaun has had to improve the game, I think becoming a licensed user is definitely worth it - for the updates.

As Orcin said, it is about being part of the process and having input for the changes in the game.

Mates,

as it comes down to is this: ... being a die hard loyalist who love to be a part of this phenomenal forum with sharing, friendship and the joy of our favorite baseball pastime we all embrace in the World of PureSim ... I'll be a part of the growing licensed users this week ... :-)
