I am using last official version. I wanted to sim a couple seasons to compare with Beta 3. All teams are AI controlled.

I hit a day where the computer says Pittsburgh - Evaluating GM tendencies. The message keeps flashing. I left it for 5 minutes or so and it never stopped. I killed Puresim in taskmanager and tried again. Same thing.

This was a 1996 league where the AI controlled all of the teams. I just wanted to generate a seasons worth of stats to look at. When I looked at Pittsburgh's roster, it was one man too big. They had 11 in the minors instead of 10. I released one player and was able to continue. I don't know how the extra player got there. It seems ok for the time being.

Here is the link to the post in the general discussion. It's happened to at least one other player: http://www.wolverinestudios.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8317

I am getting the same thing using the beta 4 patch. I have tried twice to start a Historical league in 1901 and both times it hangs on Boston right after spring training.

I am new to Puresim but have used OOTP since its second version. I am using release 2.48A

I have tried three differnt staring points for a historical sim (using unattended autoplay with all teams AI controlled) and each runs into this problem of being hung up. I have since ended the game via Task Manager, released a player (granted - I am assuming that is the glitch based upon the above posts) but soon run into again when stopping the sim.

Any suggestions would be welcome - thnaks.

UPDATE - started 4th historical sim in 1918...have stopped several times with no issues... now in late 1920.:)
