Ace ... what is the error message you're experiencing ...

Sometimes, undelete and re-install the Game may help, but first moved your MODS to a safe place then proceed, otherwise you'll lose everything ...

Not sure if this will work ....

Link: http://www.dlldump.com/download-dll-.../download.html

Be sure the MSVCRT40.DLL is in the C:\\Windows\system32 folder ... (after you download from the link and put it into this folder ...)

** first ck to see if this .DLL existed ...

Well i actually did a complete re-install on my laptop with Windows 7 because i wasn't sure if i was missing any files that are needed for this game (among other things that were wrong with my laptop) and now I'm getting the error message:

"The program can't start because msvcr71.dll is missing from your computer. Try Reinstalling the program to fix this problem"

Ahhhhhhhhh so I'm still working on it.

The last error comes from Microsoft not installing the .dll in Win 7. TPG 2 was written 4 years before Win 7 came out so its not included.
Follow the instructions from this site.
